NOMINEE SPOTLIGHT

Marissa is a University Recruiter for Sales and Digital/Technology roles with General Mills. In her role with General Mills, she plans the summer internship program that brings in about 200 interns to their corporate offices every year. She also leads recruiting efforts for early career candidates. She has worked in human resources for 14 years in various different capacities. Marissa is passionate about making the recruiting process more accessible and transparent, as well as building long-lasting connections.

Career Highlight

"It's important now more than ever for students to feel like they connect and share similar values with a company. We listened and heard Gen Z say they want to fully understand what a career would look like from people already in those roles, as well as how those values come to action. My Team and I launched a strategy that included student development opportunities, panels, and keynote speaker events. We saw record-high attendance and incredible feedback. Students were able to understand the type of people that work for General Mills, how we prioritize people first, and then what roles would be an option."
