Building an Innovative and Multi-Faceted Approach to University Recruiting
Keeping diversity top of mind in another year of virtual recruiting, the campus recruitment team at LS&Co. leveraged a variety of ways to engage students. From virtual info sessions to watch parties and diverse panels to provide students with exposure to what life at Levi is all about. The team also utilized former interns to assist by serving as panelist during info sessions, hosting one-on-one conversations with candidates, and hosting events on their respective campuses.

By strategically partnering with target HBCU's and alike institutions, we go beyond the traditional recruitment process and cultivate a reciprocal relationship with key faculty to shape student curriculum and campus experience. Moving the Needle on Diversity & Inclusion
LS&Co. invests in early ID pipelines and partnerships to provide access to K-12 students who may be "at-risk". This long term investment stimulates the local community and opens the door to students who may not be clear on a career path forward. The company bi-passes the traditional "post & pray" recruitment method and craft a uniquely differentiated experience to bring select students directly to LS&Co. This approach allows for them to effectively brand the organization as an employer of choice and create a lasting impression on students/future consumers. Students receive deep insight and live from former interns, leaders and key business that removes barriers to entry.
Investing in Impactful Internship Programs
At LS&Co. interns are given the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that have a direct impact to the business. Interns also get the opportunity to meet with senior leaders throughout the summer including the CEO. In addition to meaningful work interns get a deep dive into the company through information panels with various teams throughout the organization. With last summer being virtual, connection was key for the intern class, so each week the interns participated in various team building activities from trivia nights to cooking classes to foster an environment of connection. All of these efforts contributed to a 76% return offer acceptance rate in a competitive labor market.
Supporting the Growth and Development of Entry-Level Talent
LS&Co. is a great company for recent college graduates to launch their careers because of the welcoming company culture. Within the first few weeks of hire new employees are sent through a robust onboarding program. From there, new employees get on-the-job training and are provided access to various self-paced learning programs to hit the ground running in their new role. Connection is also key and there are various employee resource groups for new employees to get and stay connected.
