Crafting a Standout Candidate Experience

The EIC recruiting team at Legrand understands the importance of the candidate experience all the way from the initial application to the offers being extended. A few ways the Legrand team creates this positive experience is through their interview process (being diverse, thoughtful and allowing candidates the opportunity to ask questions along the way). Legrand recognizes that the candidates are interviewing the company as well! Not only will they interview with the company panel, Legrand sets them up to speak with current EIC associates to ask about their experiences at organization. Legrand has internal recap meetings after every panel interview, ensuring that they are hiring the right person for the job. Everyone on their diverse panel (they select individuals from various departments and divisions to participate) must agree 100% on the hire. When Legrand communicates the offer, they explain the process of selection in great detail – making sure the candidate knows that all 15 people agreed on them! Post-interview the company sends the new associates a care package with swag and sets them up to speak with different leaders to keep them engaged until their start date. Legrand recognizes, especially in today's environment, the importance of "high touch" to keep retention.

Supporting the Growth and Development of Entry-Level Talent

At Legrand, EIC rotational programs are robust and provide new associates with incredible career opportunities. All associates begin with a comprehensive 1 week onboarding at Legrand corporate headquarters. Onboarding includes presentations from executives on each of their respective divisions, teambuilding, networking opportunities and Insights training. Once onboarding is complete, they are partnered with a mentor, provided with monthly training, quarterly onsite training and weekly touch point meetings with their program manager. They are also given many opportunities throughout their rotation experience to interact with the CEO and top executives.
