Kristin Irish - Nominee for Exceptional Leader Award

Kristin Irish is Director, Talent Acquisition for Success Academy Charter Schools, where she is responsible for entry level talent acquisition and Head of Campus Recruiting. Prior to joining Success, Kristin was Head of Global Professional Development for BMO Capital Markets and was at UBS where she ran campus recruiting for the Investment Bank. She also spent five years in the Career Development Office at the Yale School of Management, where she was Deputy Director and relationship manager. Finally, Kristin spent 15 years in sales and trading at Merrill Lynch, Soundview Technology and helped found American Technology Research.

Career Highlight

Kristin tirelessly advocates for students to begin careers in teaching, focusing the campus strategy on educating candidates through personalization and virtual events. Before COVID made it mainstream, Kristin adopted virtual recruiting as a centerpiece of the campus recruiting strategy. As a result, Success Academy has broadened its reach, recruiting hundreds of high-achieving graduates to an industry that is not always top-of-mind for candidates with non-education majors. Kristin introduced the daily use of data analytics into the team's operations to pivot and adjust the strategy as needed.
