Kiyana Roberts - Nominee for Rising Star Award - 2023 Campus Recruiting Choice Awards

Kiyana is a first-generation graduate of Cheyney University of PA, entering as a first-year MBA student at North Carolina A&T State University in Fall 2023. Her passion for people has played a huge role in her diversity and inclusion impact, as well as setting the foundation for success for the next generation of diverse leaders in the workforce, which is truly reflected in her work and experience. Kiyana enjoys the ability to provide the next generation of leaders the opportunities that they deserve by piloting, enhancing, and revamping DEI initiatives and creating strategies to ensure representation in hiring efforts, as well as utilizing her ideas to create engaging talent attraction mechanisms. During her time as an undergrad, she maintained a high GPA, was a scholar in the Keystone Honors Academy, competed as a collegiate track and field athlete, and engaged with her school and outside community, which has played a huge role in the leader she is today. Kiyana participated in a plethora of enrichment activities and leadership roles ranging from serving as the 47th Miss Cheyney University, being a TMCF Scholar, White House HBCU Scholar, member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and serving on a national board for the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality that provided overlooked minority students with access to Fortune 500 companies. Kiyana is currently the Talent Acquisition Specialist, Early Career at Breakthru Beverage Group, where she helps drive the execution of the Early Career programs by attracting, hiring, onboarding, and developing best-in-class, diverse talent for the Leadership Development Program (LDP), Corporate Summer Internship Program, and other Early Career opportunities.

"As a part of the Gen Z generation, I understand from a generational and recruiting standpoint what a Gen Z candidate is looking for in a job and ways to attract them. During my time at Breakthru Beverage Group so far, I have cultivated the experience for Gen Z candidates by creating many user-friendly ways for them to apply and learn more about the company. Also, being Gen Z, it has been very easy for the students to utilize me as a resource, which helped expand our talent pool."
