Kelly Larson - Nominee for Rising Star Award

Kelly is a Technical University Recruiting Manager at Verkada. She handles all aspects of the engineering early career recruiting program. Kelly is responsible for a team of 5, Verkada's university relations, full cycle recruiting, as well as the year round intern program. Prior to her role at Verkada, Kelly started her career in university recruiting at Rubrik and was promoted to run the program after her success. Kelly is passionate about building out inclusive programs from the ground up that are able to scale with the growth of the company.

Career Highlight

Verkada identified the early career space as an area that they could focus on to spearhead D&I initiatives but did not initially have success. Once Kelly was brought on, she created a structured program so Verkada now reaches a much broader group of students. Verkada went from having an entire new grad class out of one university to now having almost twenty different ones represented in the incoming class. She is also part of Verkada's internal D&I committee to ensure that she not only brings in diverse talent but creates an inclusive environment for them to build their careers.
