Kathryn Aho - Nominee for Talent Innovator Award - 2023 Campus Recruiting Choice Awards

Kathryn is a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist within the Campus Recruiting team at Mastercard. In her role at Mastercard, Kathryn works within the Data & Services team to hire interns and recent graduates into Consulting and Product Management roles. Kathryn leads the committee responsible for creating and executing a holistic plan for the North America Mastercard internship program including onboarding/orientation, performance management, training and development, and more. Prior to her role at Mastercard, Kathryn sourced and recruited high-potential early talent in the Human Capital Management software space, which comprised of managing full-cycle recruiting for a rotational Leadership Development Program, facilitating the summer intern programming, and planning the events and itinerary for a two-day intern summit on-site. Kathryn is passionate about candidate keep-warm strategies and engagement opportunities during the crucial time between offer acceptance and start date. She organizes monthly engagement sessions for incoming early talent to maintain consistent communication and keep them excited about their decision to join Mastercard.

"In a competitive job market where Gen Z candidates value personalization and transparency, I plan and execute monthly virtual engagement sessions for Mastercard's incoming early talent candidates across the globe. My team and I brainstorm topics that would be of interest, arrange speakers/panelists, and facilitate the sessions at various times throughout the day to accommodate different time zones and schedules. The sessions allow incoming early talent to learn more about Mastercard, get to know one another, and ask questions in a casual and low-pressure environment. Topics have included: DEI, Sustainability, Business Resource Groups, and more.
