Kathleen Merto is the Global Manager for Early Talent at Cloudera. In her role at Cloudera, Kathleen is responsible for managing a team of recruiters (across APAC, EMEA, and AMER) who hire and manage up to 120 interns and approximately 50 entry-level hires. She is designing and streamlining Early Talent processes globally while also serving as the DE&I Business Partner for Cloudera’s ERGs. Outside of Cloudera, Kathleen is a leader with URx where she builds several events for the recruiting community. Prior to this role, Kathleen worked as an Early Talent Program Manager at Cloudera and a Technical Campus Recruiter at Groupon.

Career Highlight

Kathleen has spearheaded many initiatives throughout her career, from building the AMER Cloudera Early Talent program from the ground up to kickstarting interview training for engineering intern managers which led to a company-wide initiative managed by the DE&I team. Over the last 3 years, 100% of interns would recommend the AMER intern program to a friend, and 100% of interns who were eligible for full-time offers received one. Now, Kathleen is focused on ensuring similar results globally while making sure that her team is growing professionally and feels supported. By putting together a customized career plan for each member of her team, Kathleen is actively prioritizing her team's professional growth and development.
