Katie Ketterhagen is the Manager of Student Programs and Talent Pipeline for 3M Company, where she leads 3M’s University and Diversity & Inclusion event recruitment strategy. Previously she was supporting 3M’s Talent Acquisition team in a global capacity managing recruitment technology deployments and strategic hiring. Prior to joining 3M, she was a Talent Acquisition Specialist for Delta/Northwestern Airlines supporting both in-flight and non-prod hiring. Knowing the transition transition from University to Corporate America can be intimidating, Katie is passionate about helping students navigate this major life step in an exciting way.

Career Highlight

When COVID-19 hit last year, it forced the 3M team to look at how they would transition 350+ interns from in person to virtual. With 85% of their programs, the team was able to make the leap and for those that they could not transition to virtual, 3M is honoring their internship this summer or have offered them full-time positions at 3M. The focus was clear: find a way to make virtual interns feel included in the 3M Community. The team did that in spades and increased their intern conversion rate. Katie and team are proud of what they were able to help students and managers accomplish together during uncertain times.
