Head of Early Talent Programs

Katelyn Amidon is the Head of Early Talent Programs at Lyft.  Over the last five years, she has scaled recruiting efforts for internship, new graduate, and emerging career programs. Her mission to is implement diversity-focused development programs, scale international expansions and be a strong advocate for inclusive hiring practices and best-in-class candidate experience. Prior to Lyft, she found her passion for recruiting at a fast-paced startup. Prior to talent acquisition, she spent time in the health sciences field with a degree in behavioral neuroscience after retiring from a professional basketball career overseas.

Career Highlight

Katelyn was a champion of Early Talent programs despite challenges to operating the intern and new graduate hiring mid-pandemic. With budgets being cut , she was able to advocate for two years of a remote internship program, as well as expand the Early Talent Access program which gave underrepresented students from HBCUs and HSIs an opportunity to build technical interview skill development prior to the interview process. On top of that, she was able to grow the team, aligning with business needs to have a dedicated recruiting and programs team to provide best-in-class experiences.
