Jordan Freitas - Nominee for Exceptional Leader Award

Jordan Freitas is the Head of University Recruiting at Cruise. In his role at Cruise, Jordan is responsible for developing and leading the University Recruiting strategy and team as well as leading the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging efforts for the broader recruiting team at Cruise. Prior to his role at Cruise, Jordan led UR for Northrop Grumman's Aerospace Systems sector, was a Campus Recruiting Manager at PwC, and a Campus Recruiter at Ernst & Young. Over the past 13 years, Jordan's passions for helping students, diversity & inclusion, building relationships, and developing strategy have steered his career in the UR space.

Jordan plays a central role in Cruise’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging, having led the creation of a company-wide Consciously Inclusive Recruiting Framework to ensure the company embraces differences. The framework delves into all aspects of the recruiting process through an inclusive lens and provides best practices, terminology guidance, and considerations for how hiring teams can diversify networks and source talent from groups that are systemically excluded.
