Jenny holds a dual role at Arup as Canada Co-op Recruiter and People Services Coordinator. In her recruiting role, Jenny is responsible for full-cycle recruiting on all 4-month co-op roles, creating/leading intern events, and maintaining/fostering relationships with University and College career centers. Prior to her role at Arup, Jenny was a Volunteer Talent Acquisition-Volunteer Services specialist with the American Red Cross and an HR Intern with Horizon BCBS of NJ. Within the talent acquisition realm, Jenny is passionate about building a hiring process and experience that is inclusive, supportive, and sustainable.

Career Highlight

Since taking on the co-op recruiting role, Jenny has challenged the hiring process and pushed the boundaries to be more inclusive. After a year of process mapping, feedback, and slow transition, Arup now sees at least 15 students from various schools filling roles out of the 27-30 typically filled by students from the one school Arup usually recruits from. For the role where this one school would provide a stronger candidate, Jenny pushed hiring managers to think about having more headcount in order to create that inclusivity. With change, there has also been an increase of referrals from interns and employees.
