Career Highlight

One of her greatest accomplishments at Farmers Insurance was when COVID-19 turned campus recruiting upside down overnight. Jamia mobilized the entire early career program to successfully adapt to a new normal. With her efforts she was able to successfully pivot a conventional internship program to a 100% virtual internship program and honor Farmers commitment in hosting diverse talent over the summer. From supporting internship program hiring managers and recruiters during a rapid transition to equipping recruiters with the virtual resources for a successful recruiting season, Jamia assisted their team through an unprecedented year. She also ensured that the enterprise interns had an impactful virtual experience by providing opportunities to develop, learn, build their networks, collaborate, contribute meaningful work and ideas to their teams, immerse themselves in the Farmers family culture, as well as foster internship success within an efficient remote capacity. Through this experience, Jamia and the Early Career Program will continue to enhance both the virtual and in-person experience while expanding and building out enhancements to the Farmers Internship Program.
