Multi-Faceted and Thoughtful Approach to University Recruitment

At Jackson, the early recruiting team is recruiting local talent through community and nearby college campuses. The team is focused on finding great candidates, and, while they do participate in career fairs, they are dedicating much of their time to professional development training and support. They lead professional development workshops for the Multicultural Business Program, support resume and elevator pitch review sessions for Women in Business, host onsite tours and professional panel discussions for the student athletes, lead mock interview sessions and provide feedback to high school students, visit professor classrooms to talk about industry opportunities and more. This teams goes above and beyond to build strong partnerships to ready the early career population for what comes next.

Impactful Internship Program

At Jackson, the Strategic Support Program is an elevated version of an internship where associates gain exposure/experience within the organization. The program focuses on associate development through robust professional and career development programs. The associates participate in a variety of tasks to support the everyday operations of the business. The variety of work helps build depth and breadth of knowledge, empowering associates to choose their own career path. Through a results-oriented structure, associates can grow their careers while discovering the type of work they love, enabling Jackson to pair interests/skillsets with business needs, resulting in long and fulfilling careers. The program averages 800 associates with approximately 200 of them ready for full-time. Annually, Jackson hires 60% of the ready-now population into full-time roles.

Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent

Jackson is invested in the success and advancement of their associates. One of the ways they invest is through Career Development Programs (CDPs). There are multiple CDPs offering a paid and immersive skill-building experience through exposure and education in key business areas. These CDPs are tailored to one or more disciplines aligned to key business tasks, core projects, and critical, but difficult to find, skills. Through these 6-12+ month programs, associates participate in a mix of on-the-job skill acquisition and professional development opportunities, including 1:1 mentoring, career consultation, hands-on workshops, capstone content and collaborative projects. The programs deliver great value to associates as they are better positioned to understand career pathing associated with the CDP and often complete the program with a full-time offer.
