Heather is the Talent Attraction and Employer Brand Manager at Magna International. In her role, she leads the talent attraction team and Center of Excellence for Canada and the United States. Her responsibilities include positioning Magna as an employer of choice in North America, developing recruitment marketing strategies, managing university relations, and regional talent attraction programs. Prior to her current role, she worked at General Motors, leading digital talent marketing for their global career website and recruiting social and career platforms. Heather is dedicated to creating exceptional candidate experiences and promoting inclusivity and equal access to career opportunities for all.
Career Highlight
"One of the major accomplishments my team and I have achieved is breaking down silos and fostering collaboration among our early career recruiting teams. Previously, each team worked independently at university events, causing confusion for students. Recognizing these issues, we took on the role of coordinating across teams. We worked with each team to understand their target students and schools of focus. Now, my team manages the central event calendar, coordinating and connecting teams during busy semesters. This has significantly improved our brand awareness on campuses and fostered new connections among our recruiting teams, promoting teamwork and collaboration."
