Standout Candidate Experience
After students are in the pipeline, the team at GF honors the Talent Acquisition Team candidate care commitment; ONEGF. Opportunity: giving candidates the opportunity to shine and showcase their talent. Next level partnership: providing support through the candidate journey. Efficient: being thoughtful, understanding, and respectful of the candidate’s time. Genuine: fostering an inclusive environment to allow candidates to be their true self. Focus: provide an engaging candidate experience. In addition to the commitment to candidates, the team has continuous improvement in their DNA utilizing data from candidate surveys to continuously improve the hiring process over time. Additionally, the team surveys their interns at three different points during their summer intern experience to ensure they are exceeding their expectations.
Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
GF knows the best ideas come from a diverse team being inclusive, and that our success rests on empowering employees to bring their whole person to our company. To recruit a diverse slate of candidates, the team has built relationships with organizations at the national and collegiate level. These organizations include Society of Women Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering, Jackie Robinson Foundation, and more. The team forms partnerships with these organizations by hosting in-person/virtual events, panels, info sessions, fireside chats etc. to showcase the opportunity at GF. Once hired, interns new grads are integrated into employee resource groups which offer a sense of community, development, mentorship, and more.
Impactful Internship Program
Interns at GF are provided with a rich experience; interacting with employee resource groups, volunteering, one-on-one mentorship, work assignments prioritizing growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and access to leaders including the CEO during a fireside chat. From the beginning, interns work on meaningful and challenging projects which have direct impact to the business. These projects focus on process improvement, sustainability, waste reduction, or cost productivity. This project isn’t set in-stone as it can evolve over time as the intern learns more during the program. At the end of the program, interns present their projects to the broader GF team, their intern peers as well as Senior Leadership. After successful project completion, interns are often provided full-time offers to launch their career with GF.
