Building an Innovative and Multi-Faceted Approach to University Recruiting

This year the Pure Ambition Early Career Team continued to host virtual events at various unversities focusing on club meetings and offering to host their dinners and send various swag items for students to enjoy. Where possible local events were attended to allow for more face-to face-interactions and conversations. Events included utilizing former associates of the program to attend in class sessions to talk about their experience form a students perspective. Finally, recognizing the need for more social media, the team developed videos to post online where associates talked about the program.

Crafting a Standout Candidate Experience

The Pure Ambition Early Career Team at Glanbia Nutritionals wants each candidate to have an exceptional experience throughout the recruiting process. They provide candidates with detailed information about the company purpose, vision and values. The process starts with an information session, after which candidates are invited to apply. Chosen applicants have face to face time with the Early Career Program Lead to discuss what their future goals are and how those goals work in to the company goals. The candidates' experience is similar to inviting them in to a home: they are welcomed, shown around, asked questions and the team hopes they leave the "home" with a good experience.

Investing in Impactful Internship Programs

Internships at Glanbia Nutritionals is the primary pipeline for the Early Career Program Associates. The internships are 10-12 week summer experiences where interns can expect a strong, business-relevant list of objectives to drive deep learning. Interns have access to leadership and mentors. They receive both a mid and final performance assessment in addition to reporting out to senior leadership. Based on performance, interns are offered to return upon graduating to join the Pure Ambition Early Career Program as an Associate.
