“This award screams “Georgia Holsomback!!”

Georgia is a Talent Acquisition Consultant on Stantec’s Future Talent team, responsible for hiring interns and co-op’s for the US South region across various engineering and architecture disciplines. Georgia joined the team within the last year, per intern conversion, coming from her long-term intern role on Talent Acquisition team (specifically supporting Campus). The original plan was to split off a portion of the region as a training ground for Georgia, but the plan changed with a team departure, and she immediately stepped up to support the entire region in her full-time professional role.

In her first year, Georgia led two high-impact projects and contributed to many projects of strategic value. Notably, she drove a Tiger Team project on Baseline Intern Candidate Criteria, clarifying intern role classification across various sectors and establishing eligibility requirements. This document also helped with role definitions and workflows for onboarding to RippleMatch. The skills and competencies outlined form the basis of algorithms supporting Ripplematch roles and translate business practices into our operating model. Georgia showcased this work to leadership in a quarterly presentation, and it has been widely adopted.

Georgia contributed to a CRM project for post-event follow-up campaigns, providing valuable insights from her student experience. She excelled in collaboration and communication, developing the summer internship program with a business-oriented point of view and balances this with a former intern point of view when needed. Georgia created an intern resource guide and improved our survey approach, enhancing engagement and data quality. Her integrated perspective is a significant asset to the team.

Georgia brings sincere curiosity, creative problem solving, and strong teamwork ethics in her role day-to-day. I am assured that she is on a trajectory to have a great impact in the early talent space. Her many contributions this year have already elevated our function, and she has helped to lay the foundation for a new level of team success. The brave confidence she has employed coming into the role has served as a springboard for her growth and development. Georgia is so deserving of this award recognition and I can’t wait to see what she achieves next!”
