Demonstrated Investment in Early Career Hiring
Gemini's mission is to unlock the next era of financial, creative, and personal freedom. The organization believes this new wave of technology is imperative to the success of the next generation. Plus, 94% of crypto buyers are Gen Z and Millennials. Without bringing in these perspectives and early career experience, Gemini will not have the same capabilities and understanding of the ever-evolving crypto and Web3 landscape. The early career talent at Gemini makes an immediate impact to the business and there is a commitment to continue to invest in that space.
Innovative and Multi-Faceted Approach to University Recruitment
The university team at Gemini is passionate about supporting the individual — offering one-on-one conversations about career development to resume reviews for those who request guidance, and hosting university agnostic information sessions. Gemini wants each candidate to feel empowered and educated in the crypto/web3 space, and it hosts a variety of educational events to support those efforts.
Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
Gemini's most recent investment is in its early career strategy. With that investment, the team has had the opportunity to start growing their brand footprint on a variety of university campuses, including HSIs and HBCUs, with a hope to branch into TCUs in the future. The largest Gemini partnership is with the Black Blockchain Summit, where the founders have not only supported the initiative financially, but also spoke at the annual summit.
Impactful Internship Program
Gemini’s internship is a multi-faceted experience, and between a dedicated intern onboarding, a professional development and executive speaker series, and travel to HQ, the cohort never has a dull moment. Interns are aligned to individual teams and assigned projects that will immediately impact the business, while simultaneously working on an intern group project that will be leveraged the following year. If that is not enough, the Cryptern Challenge awarded interns a small grant of crypto to trade throughout the internship program. This allowed the cohort to learn more about the Gemini's platform, different cryptocurrencies, and market trends. Of the full time offers extended, 100% accepted and will be starting in 2023.
Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent
With a first time early career cohort starting in Summer 2023, the team is working to develop a program that will create a community and retain high potential intern conversions. The company plans to have dedicated mentorship, specific training and on-the-job exposure to a variety of teams to ensure there is visibility into several career paths. Gemini is not always a corporate ladder, it is a playground to excite employees and find the best fit for each individual.
