"At GE Appliances, we value diversity & inclusion. Through our partnership with Latina Engineers, we offer scholarships to deserving Latina engineering students who exemplify leadership on campus or in their community to advance Latino culture. Our diversity campus recruiting team identified an amazing student from Brown University who was majoring in Technology and design, but since it was late in the year, we had no additional intern position. Based on her unique background, the diversity campus team spoke to the head of the division and the Technology leader agreed to increase the intern headcount to make room for this unique intern. As a result, the intern completed the rotation during the summer 2022 and receive an award for the contributions they made during her assignment. The intern was then asked to return for the next summer."
