Demonstrated Investment in Early Career Hiring
Diversity, social mobility, and inclusion are an essential part of FDM Group. At the heart of its business remains its desire to launch the careers of people from many different backgrounds, helping them to develop their skills before starting work with their clients. Its open and inclusive Careers Program provides early career talent the opportunity to get their foot in the door in tech, an industry that is innovative, creative, and ever-evolving.
Innovative and Multi-Faceted Approach to University Recruitment
FDM works as an employer partner and attends events at over 100 career services and academic departments across the US. Through University Partnerships, the company supports universities’ employability strategies by providing programs that prepare their graduates for the corporate world, helping hone the skills they need to build meaningful and rewarding long-term careers. FDM’s inclusive recruitment process includes, but is not limited to, year-round hiring from all degree backgrounds and universities, strengths- based individual assessments, unconscious bias training provided to recruiters and interviewers, and the use of various recruitment tools in order to reach a wider pool of talent. FDM’s early career talent attraction strategy focuses on raising awareness through career fairs, information sessions, and hackathons, as well as providing the opportunity to participate in upskilling workshops held in the US and globally. All programs are in-person, virtual or hybrid, making them accessible to all students regardless of geographical location.
Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
FDM is committed to diversity and inclusion, believing everyone has the right to an equal opportunity to belong and grow in their career. Its Career Development Program opens up a career in tech for a wide audience through an inclusive recruitment process including strengths-based individual assessments, focusing on the potential of the candidate rather than previous experience, accepting applications from all degrees and universities, encouraging candidates from non-STEM backgrounds to consider a career in tech, unconscious bias training provided to recruiters and interviewers, as well as delivering practical upskilling sessions for people to unlock their technical skills. FDM’s University Partnerships Team collaborates with a variety of different institutions including HSIs, HBCUs and Women's Colleges, as well as working with and supporting individual student organizations within these institutions such as SHE, SWE, and MEET. Open to all in the company, FDM Staff Networks provide a community for discussion around shared characteristics.

Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent
FDM Group is dedicated to ensuring that new hires are set up for success. Once candidates are accepted into the program, they receive formalized relevant and industry-specific training. After completion of their training period and starting their placement with one of FDM’s clients, new hires have the continuous support of the Consultant Experience team throughout their entire FDM career journey. The Consultant Experience team conducts a series of touchpoints to ensure ample support is given throughout the career journey of the consultant. Additionally, through its Consultant Peer Support (CPS) Program, FDM is available to connect new and existing FDMers already working with the client to help them acclimatize to their new environment.
