Erica Chavez - Nominee for Exceptional Leader Award

Erica is the Global Early Career Recruiting Manager at Dow where she works within Human Resources to develop and execute strategy to attract and recruit top talent around the globe. In this role, she has responsibility for leading a team of Early Career Specialists to continuously optimize our programs and processes. In her previous role with Dow, she served as the Human Resources Manager supporting 900+ employees. Erica’s passion for inclusion has led Talent Acquisition to focus on creating an inclusive early career application-to-hire process. This will reduce bias and allow for equal opportunity to all talent who apply for roles at Dow.

Career Highlight

Erica launched a global early career recruiting redesign project in 2020 that focused on modernizing and digitalizing Dow’s New College Graduate and Intern recruiting process by diversifying the candidate pool, broadening candidate reach, and enhancing the candidate experience. When Covid-19 shifted the nature of campus recruiting, Erica and her team quickly adapted to a full virtual recruiting process with great success. Erica is proud to work with a team that remained committed to achieving its goals during an unprecedented year.
