Innovative Use of Technology
Ensign Bickford Industries uses technology to not only meet the candidates where they are but also to speed up the recruitment process. EBI uses technology to virtually meet and interview candidates. EBI digitalizes candidates resumes/paperwork to streamline the process and go paperless. By using technology, EBI has been able to provide a better candidate experience.
Impactful Internship Program
At EBI, the internship provides an hands-on experience for the interns. Interns are given a real-world project guided by a mentor to complete within 12 weeks. Interns are exposed to different business units across the company to gain a better understanding on how all the different units come together to form one company. Interns are given multiple opportunities to talk with company leadership on wide range of topics during intern events like learn and learns, company outings and early career networking events. Interns present their final presentations in front of the whole company/business unit.
Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent
EBI implements an 18-month program focused on developing New Grad Engineers. This program provides structured onboarding, training, and hands on developmental experiences with the intent of building strong capable Engineers. The program consist of (3) core 5-month assignments in Operations, Engineering and Program Management. At the end of each core assignment, participants also move through multiple 1-week development experiences in other cross-functional areas. Upon completion of the program, participants have the opportunity to deploy into one of various types of positions within the company. This process allows for New Grads to gain a better understanding of how all the different areas function and operate before deciding on a career journey.
