Emily Cardner - Nominee for Talent Innovator Award

Emily Cardner is manages Campus & Recruiting Programs at MongoDB . She is responsible for all Global Intern and New Grad hiring - from the US, Dublin, Copenhagen, Australia and India - as well as other recruiting programs such as Employee Referrals. She is passionate about building new programs, helping students navigate the jump from academia to industry, and increasing diversity and inclusion efforts within tech. She's been with MongoDB for 6 years, and is happiest when traveling the world or watching a broadway show.

Career Highlight

Emily is super passionate about Diversity and Inclusion within tech, and knew that MongoDB's Campus Program had an opportunity to make actual change within the company. Two years ago, she recreated strategies and goals to increase diversity within the intern and New Grad classes, through partnerships with universities and diversity focused organizations. Within two years, Emily and her team were able to increase the underrepresented racial minority in the intern class by 333%. Emily continues to work on creating an inclusive environment for interns and New Grads.
