Innovative and Multi-Faceted Approach to University Recruitment
ElastiGrad, while junior in its inception, continues to make a huge impact not only internally at Elastic, but on the candidates the company is reaching. ElastiGrad's summer 2022 cohort was made up of over 60% underrepresented minorities, and over 50% of those hires identified as women. Elastic strives to reach and impact groups that might not otherwise have access to a robust early talent program. ElastiGrad does not have a gpa requirement or location requirements, which allows the company to continue to be more diverse in its hiring. When interacting with students, Elastic spends its time educating students on empowering their abilities in the recruitment process, whether that is for Elastic or any company they are interested in.

Impactful Internship Program
From day one, Elastic hopes a candidate feels they are no longer just a number or a name in the recruitment process. The company has found that mentors have a large impact on candidates going through the process, and can also bridge the gap between offer acceptance and their start date. The Elastibuddy Mentor Program gives current Elastic employees the opportunity to mentor those who are going through the exact process they did.
Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent
Elastic empowers its hires to realize that a company should not only work hard to recruit them, but they should also work harder to retrain them. In addition to X-school, its global onboarding program, Elastic offer WOW, or Week of Welcome. This one week is dedicated to training and introducing ElastiGrad's to everything Elastic. On the first day, they get to meet with the CEO of Elastic, and on the second day they are introduced to Elastic's products by the VP of product management. Every week and every month for ElastiGrad’s first year is designed to elevate them and prepare them for the next move within Elastic.
