Standout Candidate Experience

The campus recruitment team works hard to foster a positive candidate experience at every step of the process. The team hosts interviews on campus, providing candidates with a personalized touch from the recruiter. They follow up with phone calls and emails to keep candidates updated on their application. Once candidates make it to the final stage, an on-site interview, they are invited to prep sessions to discuss interview success strategies and what to expect. All travel expenses are covered, and local food is provided to personalize the experience. After the offer stage, the team continues building relationships by hosting on-campus events, dinners, meetings with managers, and celebratory opportunities. The team hosts an information session to educate students on their full-time benefits package.

Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

The CoStar team has a robust DE&I strategy. They sponsor MLT and travel to their national conferences to meet and recruit talented students on-site. They recruit from top HBCUs and HSIs for high quality students. For PWI partnerships, the team works closely with diverse student groups to be a contributing partner to their student success. CoStar has several ERGs to engage entry-level recruits with other underrepresented employees. The team implemented a hiring strategy to ensure that every software development candidate was interviewed by a female technologist in the process. This ensures that female-identifying candidates see common identities and that male-identifying candidates are seeing a diverse team of hiring managers. Lastly, any recruitment events on campus include a diverse representation of CoStar employees.

Impactful Internship Program

The CoStar Group internship experience is one of a kind! First of all, interns are paid generously and receive relocation stipends. Once they join the CoStar offices, they are met with a welcome networking event and a calendar of social and professional development offerings for the summer. The Learning and Development team hosts sessions specifically geared towards developing early career talent. CoStar also plans an Executive Speaker Series for interns to hear firsthand from the C-Suite executives on the business and their journey to CoStar. Interns are assigned a summer project and present their work to leaders, mentors, and managers. On average, 98% of our technology interns receive a return offer, and roughly 73% rejoin their teams the following summer.
