Chip Turrisi - Nominee for Talent Innovator Award

Chip Turrisi is a University Relations & Recruiting Manager at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits. At SGWS, Chip is responsible for all Early Career hiring 150+ students annually for internships and recent graduate positions across the US. Chip previously oversaw URR at Royal Caribbean Cruises based out of Miami, FL. He is passionate about people and systems. His passion for people helps in creating an exceptional candidate & employee experience and his passion for systems helps him leverage technology to recruit efficiently and effective as well as build strategic talent pipelines.

Career Highlight

One of Chip's proudest moments was during a very difficult moment in 2020. In March, our incoming intern class of 75 interns at Royal Caribbean was notified that their internship was being cancelled. It was the lowest point of Chip's professional career but given the circumstance, he still wanted to provide real world experience. Chip and team created a Business Case Challenge, a two-week experience that was exclusive to our incoming class that allowed interns to present to senior leadership and learn about the industry. Despite the difficulty, Chip and team were still able to provide experience to their interns!
