Celia Croff is the Military & Early Careers Programs Manager at Builders FirstSource, the nation's largest building materials supplier. In her role at Builders FirstSource, Celia is responsible for all military recruiting programs, including their very successful DoD SkillBridge Internship. Along with military recruiting, Celia is also responsible for the Early Careers recruiting programs to include high schools, vo-techs, community colleges and university partnerships. Prior to her role at Builders FirstSource, Celia was the Senior North America Talent Acquisition Specialist for DENSO, a global tier-1 automotive OEM, responsible for all recruiting activities for the thermal division covering Canada, US and Mexico. Celia is passionate about developing and implementing recruiting programs on a large scale to bring veterans and young professionals into the trades and manufacturing.
Career Highlight
"In the summer of 2023, we launched a national summer internship program to address our talent pipeline needs. With over 70% of our Operations Leadership teams and 60% of our Sales teams expected to reach retirement age within the next 5 to 10 years, we recognized a critical gap in bringing in new talent. Our program is project-based, providing interns with multiple touchpoints with our Executive Leadership Team and opportunities to connect with peers in their cohort. The goal is to retain interns year after year until graduation, at which point they transition into rotational trainee roles in Operations Management or Sales, preparing them for their respective career paths. Through this initiative, we have been able to build a 2-3 deep bench strength in some of the key markets of our company."
