Innovative and Multi-Faceted Approach to University Recruitment
Catalina's recruitment team provides impactful connections with university talent. With robust engagement both virtually and on campus, the team not only interacts with meaningful conversations in group settings, but arranges for personalized meetups to deepen relationships across the student populations. As soon as connections are made, the team offers 1:1 opportunities that include resume reviews, interview prep, networking tips, and expanding network connections for students. The care and dedication to each and every student's career goals creates long -lasting connections and positive brand awareness for Catalina.
Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
Catalina's recruitment efforts include a strong focus within diverse student populations. The team engages with on-campus clubs, sororities/fraternities, and groups to expand exposure to various career paths. Catalina also has a strong analytics/data science function, and strives to bring awareness of career opportunities in this field — which is a passion for the recruitment team. Catalina supported UChicago's Summer Match '22 program that afforded underrepresented students at the first year level internship opportunities. Three rising second year students from the program completed 400 internship hours with significant work experience, mentorship, and support of their future career goals within technology, data science, and marketing. These students thrived with the support of the talent acquisition team and leaders across the company in their first corporate experience.
Impactful Internship Program
Catalina interns receive a best-in-class experience. Throughout their internship, each student is empowered with meaningful work, team involvement, mentorship from their manager and other company leaders, and many learning opportunities. The interns have 1:1 meetings with executive leadership, are assigned a learning manager to support their goals, and enjoy flexible ‘work from anywhere’ schedules. Catalina's conversion rate of +95% is a testament to the internship experience.
Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent
Catalina supports all new full-time employees for their success. With pre-boarding communications and company updates, all new team members are immersed and welcomed with company updates and vital information for successful onboarding. New Hire Orientation on Day 1 ensures each new employee has the technology, resources, and network to start acclimating into their role. The manager's guidance and insights, the Buddy's engagement and informal connection, and the team's involvement fully support the new employee and lets them know they are valued. Plus, Catalina University is introduced to ensure the team member has the learning and growth opportunities for their new role and beyond
