Bruce Soltys - Nominee for Exceptional Leader Award - 2022 Campus Recruiting Choice Awards

Bruce serves as the Vice President of University Recruiting & Leadership Development Programs for Travelers Insurance. He is tasked with leading a team accountable for the design and delivery of the enterprise strategy for sourcing, attracting, recruiting, and developing talent via their College/University Recruiting partners. Prior to Travelers, he held Campus Recruiting leadership positions with Prudential Financial and Verizon. His previous experience also includes HR Generalist and Experienced Recruiting roles with Citi, Ernst & Young and Lucent Technologies. He holds a BA in Economics from Rutgers University and is a graduate of the National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE) Leadership Advancement Program. He also served on the NACE Board of Directors for the 2017-2019 term.

Career Highlight

Since 2017, Bruce has been part of a core team tasked with developing Travelers' Neurodiversity hiring efforts. The program has evolved from an informal “job shadow day” in 2017 to present day which will see close to a dozen 2022 summer interns across several disciplines including Technology, Actuarial, Business Insights & Analytics and Data Science. During this 5 year effort, Travelers has become a member of the Disability:IN Neurodiversity @ Work Employer Roundtable, formed partnerships with neurodiverse programs at multiple colleges and most recently will serve as a Founding Partner of The Center for Neurodiversity & Employment Innovation at the Werth Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Connecticut.
