Brooke Williams - Nominee for Rising Star Award - 2023 Campus Recruiting Choice Awards

As a University Recruitment Programs Specialist at RingCentral, Brooke is responsible for the internship program from conception to completion — requests, budget, operations, recruitment, program planning and program management. She also assists in entry-level full-time recruitment for the Rising Stars program. Prior to working on the university team, Brooke spent 4 years supporting RingCentral’s talent acquisition team as a coordinator — building relationships while exploring different projects and teams within the company. Through this work, she identified her passion for helping early-career talent identify THEIR passion. Brooke creates a fun, inclusive, collaborative environment where interns can explore resources and learning opportunities to identify where their careers may take them next.

"Our company’s timeline for recruitment doesn’t always line up with the standard recruitment event periods. Because of this, we developed a unique approach to hosting events. While we can’t offer a direct link to applications, we can build relationships with students through professional development and informative sessions instead. We shifted our focus from “who are we?” to “what can we do for you?” — hosting resume workshops, open Q&As about career life after college, identifying the right employee culture for you, and more. This shifted our strategy from transactional to effectively building our brand and relationships."
