Brittnye Dione Screws is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in the fintech industry. As the Early Careers Diversity & Campus Recruiting Lead at Visa, she designs and implements innovative campus strategies that empower students from all walks of life to confidently pursue quality internships and strong first jobs. She has successfully launched initiatives such as the Visa Upskill Tech Pathway Program for Freshman and Sophomore students seeking to level up their technical skills. Before joining Visa, Brittnye worked at the University of Texas at San Antonio in the Student Leadership Center where she developed her skills as a leader, mentor, and Program Manager. She graduated with her Masters of Higher Education in 2019. Brittnye's recruiting philosophy is based on the belief that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. She strives to build inclusive campus sourcing strategies that also drive business growth.
Career Highlight
"Within my first two years, I was proud to be promoted as Visa's first HBCU Recruiter, a role that allowed me to leverage my expertise in campus recruiting and deepen my scope within I&D. I formed new relationships with recruiting colleagues, Visa stakeholders, and campus partners to ensure that we attract, hire, and retain Black talent exclusively at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Shortly after, my role elevated to driving campus sourcing strategies supporting all diversity initiatives. After much innovative design and cross-functional collaborations, I’m excited to have launched an early ID program that targets students from varied backgrounds and perspectives. During its pilot year, we received an 86 NPS score with the majority of students ranking the program as highly impactful."
