Standout Candidate Experience
The Early Careers team partners closely with hiring teams, university career centers and students to create a seamless candidate experience. Students are offered tips for success on the student application portal as well as on the Handshake sourcing platform. These tips range from bringing your authentic self to the interviewing process to preparing for the different interviewing stages. The Early Careers team regularly hosts workshops that are open to all students. These workshops provide support crafting a strong resume, interviewing well and give students access to industry experts. Students are often connected with prospective colleagues as they consider BNP Paribas for the next step in their career journeys.
Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
BNP Paribas has diversity partnerships to recruit entry-level talent and provide employees with professional development, networking, and community outreach opportunities. The 2023 US Summer Internship class was composed of students from 65 colleges and universities, representing not only ethnic, racial, and gender diversity but also diversity of educational experience, geographic location, and diversity of thought. BNP Paribas' 10 US based employee resource groups host monthly speaker panels open to all students. These help traditionally underrepresented applicants envision themselves in a wide range of roles within financial services. BNP Paribas also hosts annual Sophomore Opportunity Summits. These Summits give ambitious sophomore students the opportunity to engage in dynamic conversations on a range of topics including DEI.
Impactful Internship Program
The 10-week Summer Internship program creates a memorable experience for the diverse cohort of outstanding students. Mentorship is a big part of the program. Each intern is paired with a trained mentor from the firm to help them navigate the new and rigorous learning experience. The internship starts with a week of training on a wide range of skillsets and includes weekly sessions open for all interns to meet leaders from across the firm, learn about the culture and develop lifelong skills that will guide them in their professional careers.
