Ashley Pastino, currently the Sr. Manager of Talent Acquisition for Penn Interactive, the digital arm to Penn Entertainment, comes with over a decade of extensive experience in talent acquisition. She got her first taste of recruiting as an agency recruiter out in Los Angeles for the automotive engineering industry and quickly mastered the craft of talent acquisition. She soon became a manager for a global telecommunication company where she built an international recruiting team to help staff up the two-billion-dollar company. Ashley started with Penn Interactive three and a half years ago as the sole manager and heavily contributed to the growth of 75 employees from when she started to over 2000 employees around the world by utilizing her expertise in everything from recruitment marketing, technical recruiting, to creative sourcing methods.
Career Highlight
"DE&I has always been a focus for me. Each year I make it a goal to find a new DE&I partner that my team and I can support in some way, whether that is offering up our office to host a networking event, speaking on a panel offering support to those navigating their career, or having recruiters speak with individuals from that DE&I community about a role that interests them. Recently this year, we hosted a Drag Trivia event around LGBTQIA+ pop culture and history in partnership with Out in Tech. A few team members and I also spoke at local non-profit, HopeWorks summit, to young professionals looking to learn more about behavioral interviews and best tips on mastering them. Additionally, the sourcing team that I manage, hosted OutGeek, a non-profit whose mission is to champion women in tech and create a community for career advancement. We enthusiastically hosted 150+ women in the tech space who not only were able to network, but to also listen in on impactful keynotes, connect with some of our talented developers and product managers, and meet 1-on-1 with my company’s sourcers to learn more about current and future career opportunities."
