Innovative Use of Technology
The Aon team embraces the innovative opportunities offered by partners, such as RippleMatch, which allow them to strategically recruit for the future of Aon. The automation and ease-of-use of the platforms facilitate building diverse slates of qualified candidates that they can convert to high-performing colleagues with less tedious effort on the front-end. It helps Aon deliver a valuable candidate experience each recruiting season with consistency. Recruiters can focus on building relationships with talent, rather than being distracted by laborious administrative tasks. Additionally, Aon is able to expand their reach to geographic areas outside of their core locations to showcase opportunities to talent that is often overlooked. What was once a positive candidate experience has been elevated to a level of excellence, generating referrals and overwhelmingly positive feedback from their newest colleagues.
Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
Aon believes diverse and inclusive teams create better insights and solutions, deliver the best outcomes for clients and are vital to ensuring Aon's long-term success. As one of the founders of the Chicago Apprenticeship Network, the program has expanded to nine cities across the US and continues to grow; apprentices receive paid tuition, books and fees for a two-year Associate Degree, and authentic workplace experiences to develop their skills and earn a competitive salary while they learn. Aon also offers comprehensive internships for juniors and seniors that can lead to full-time employment and seasonal externships to expose college first-years and sophomores to the world of Aon. Additionally, the graduate program delivers long-term support and development as grads enter the workforce.
Impactful Internship Program
Aon interns learn firsthand what it's like to work in an environment dedicated to exceeding expectations by delivering products and services tailored to the unique needs of our clients. In addition to being fully embedded in the businesses or internal teams that they support, often joining strategy and planning meetings, many interns have the opportunity meet clients, work with leaders, and experience the whole of Aon. Each intern participates in an intern project as well, where they have exposure to our global colleagues and collaborate with interns in other regions to address a topic of special interest to the company, such as enhancing the interview process, delivering superior service to clients, evaluating AI, considering the newest cyber threats, helping colleague-led business resource groups develop annual plans for inclusion, and much more. From day one, interns are part of the team!
