Angela Darby is the Internship Program Manager at Kroger. Angela is responsible for building strategy for all departments across the enterprise to increase the pipeline of Early Talent. Angela focuses on workforce planning, increasing the number of interns, increasing diversity, and upskilling the HR teams and Department Managers to focus on conversion-first. Angela first joined Kroger as a Senior Recruiter focused on completing full-lifecycle technology recruiting. She moved to the Campus Recruiter role, where she implemented a new Campus Recruiting strategy to lead the program to success. Angela is passionate about developing strategies to build the pipeline of early talent, by providing a strategic, impactful experience for interns.

Career Highlight

With an increased focus on diversity and inclusion, Angela has had the opportunity to collaborate with others to develop and implement the Kroger Autism at Work Program. The Autism at Work Program is designed to leverage the skills of our associates with autism in roles where they can succeed, thrive, and create value across the entire enterprise. In addition to collaborating with the team, Angela was instrumental in crafting the framework for the program and completed an “executive leaders roadshow”, to share the details of the program with executive leadership prior to the implementation of the program. Angela is proud to be part of an organization with a focus on recruiting, training and retaining talented diverse candidates.
