The Pillars of an Award-Winning Program
Analog Devices, Inc. was selected as a 2024 Campus Forward Award Winner for their unwavering commitment to seeking out and hiring early career talent and investments in nurturing and retaining the next generation of diverse talent. Please see below for the highlights of their approach to early career recruitment.
Multi-Faceted and Thoughtful Approach to University Recruitment
Analog Devices is committed to investing in its people and their growth and implements a robust end-to-end focus on investing in the future from recruitment to development. In recruitment, Analog Devices utilizes a hybrid approach capitalizing on digital recruitment tools to engage with candidates and in-person campus recruiting events. With more than 110 universities represented in the 2023 hiring class for early career talent, ADI takes an approach that does not inhibit applicants. For in-person recruitment opportunities, ADI engaged directly with students through career fairs, tech talks, student organization relationships, and more. One example of ADI’s standout on-campus presence this year was the inclusion of an R2-D2 droid for students to enjoy while talking with recruiters. Finally, once interns and early career professionals start with ADI, they are provided with custom development opportunities including 1:1 mentorship pairing, executive speaker events, peer groups such as the Young Professionals Network, and learning programs for critical skills development.
Standout Candidate Experience
Analog Devices encourages a friendly and positive approach to the candidate experience and strives to enable candidates to thrive in the hiring process. The interview process is clear and thorough, and recruiters are timely and communicative with candidates throughout the interview and offer stage. After an offer is accepted, ADI utilizes a candidate engagement platform to keep candidates invested and interested in the company during the period between offer acceptance and the start date. This platform creates engaging tasks and hosts a forum where conversation between ADI Talent Acquisition staff and incoming hires is encouraged, while also providing opportunities to make peer connections, and utilize a library of resources for knowledge empowerment and discovering company culture.
Impactful Internship Program
The summer internship experience at ADI allows a diverse group of developing professionals to not only collaborate, but to develop into a growing intern community fostered through various intern events. The program also sets a foundation for students to learn about the differing responsibilities and roles of business units within the organization. This cross-collaboration is nurtured through a mix of casual and professional development opportunities that are planned on a bi-weekly basis to ensure a multitude of different skills develop, alongside the main capabilities the interns are expected to perform. ADI’s mission is to convert 70%+ of interns at the end of each summer. One differentiator of ADI’s program is the opportunity for interns to give back to the community through collaboration with the ADI Foundation by working on the Intern Impact Project as well as the Intern Symposium – an opportunity for interns to present their work that summer to the entirety of their respective ADI site.
