Amy Schlesinger - Nominee for Talent Innovator Award

Amy Schlesinger is the University Relations Leader at Public Financial Management. In their role at Public Financial Management, Amy is responsible for all intern and entry-level hiring, managing the summer internship program, and building a strategic diversity and inclusion recruitment strategy. Prior to their role at Public Financial Management, Amy worked in Career Services at the University of Virginia. Amy is passionate about building hiring processes and systems that support inclusive hiring practices and creating a positive experience for all candidates.

Career Highlight

When COVID-19 hit, Amy was tasked with spearheading the transition of an entire in-person internship program to a virtual one and centralizing the program across the nation. Despite the quick turnaround of only 3 weeks, the virtual program successfully hosted approximately 20 interns, providing students with community-oriented events and professional development opportunities alongside impactful projects. Overall, the program resulted in a full-time offer acceptance rate of 100% for interns eligible for full-time analyst opportunities at PFM!
