Amy LaLonde - Nominee for Exceptional Leader Award

Amy LaLonde is a Leader of Campus Recruiting & University Relations at Steelcase. Over the last five years in her leadership role at Steelcase, Amy has been responsible for creating and implementing the strategy and transformation of the intern program and campus relations. Prior to her role at Steelcase, Amy, spent close to seven years recruiting students from mid-Michigan and Texas as the Assistant Director of Admissions at Hope College. Amy is passionate about providing opportunities for under-served students and increasing equity in the sourcing process.

Career Highlight

Five years ago, Amy LaLonde spearheaded the creation of a new internship strategy at Steelcase. These efforts gained the interest of the company's Senior Executive Team, and today, leadership views the intern program as a strategic pipeline for introducing top diverse talent into the organization. Upon seeing the success of these efforts, Amy later presented at the Steelcase Global Townhall meeting, highlighting the evolution of the company's intern program. The Steelcase Campus Team uses human-centered design to create amazing learning experiences for students and is proud to report the incoming summer intern class is over 75% diverse.
