Innovative and Multi-Faceted Approach to University Recruitment
American Family's campus team helps to focus on holistic partnerships with different colleges and universities, giving the opportunity to not only invest in their students but their communities as well. There is active participation in both virtual and on-site events, including those focused on HBCUs and HSIs. After a student has begun their application process, they are assigned a recruiter who helps to see them through the process and internship as well, if they get the role.
Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
American Family believes that diversity needs to begin from the beginning stages of recruitment — which is why it plays an active role in our recruitment strategies. AmFam participates in several diversity-fueled conferences a year, allowing greater sponsorships and growth, and providing opportunities to speak to and help students. New employees also receive access to resource business groups that focus in on different areas of interest.
Impactful Internship Program
Each intern at American Family is brought in for a specific purpose and project. This allows the students to engage deeper with their work and know upon joining that their internship is something that they are passionate and interested in. Not only that, AmFam has an optional program for interns where they can participate in a competitive case study for different community investments, and each team receives funds to see their solutions come into fruition.
Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent
American Family has a "come as you are" work culture where employees are encouraged to bring their holistic selves to work. There is little from personal situations that do not ultimately blur the lines into professional lives as well, and the authenticity is encouraged.
