Allison Dietz - Nominee for Career Catalyst Award - 2023 Campus Recruiting Choice Awards

Allison is the Senior Manager of University Relations at Centene. With over 20 years of talent acquisition experience, Allison leverages her recruiting and relationship management skills to fuel the talent pipeline of this Fortune 26 Company. The University Relations team manages the 12-week summer internship program for several hundred interns annually. This is Allison’s rebound into Corporate America. Prior to joining Centene, Allison spent over three years as the Associate Director of Employer Relations at Washington University in St. Louis. This gave her the unique experience of being on the other side of the interview desk with students. She advised career coaches, faculty, and administration on career education and industry-specific knowledge. Allison is a proud St. Louisan and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Vassar College and Master of Arts in Organizational Psychology at Columbia University in New York City. Outside of work, Allison can be found chasing her four boys or indulging in reality television with her husband.

Career Highlight

"We are on a journey to transfer the internship program from a 'friends and family' program to a true talent pipeline. Thus, instead of just going to the usual schools for events, we took a more hybrid and school-agnostic approach to reflect the change in Centene's flexible culture where most of the employees work hybrid or remotely. In the Spring of 2022, we attended 24 career fairs and events in-person. In Spring of 2023, we attended one. It's not to say we will not attend career fairs in person in the future, but we want to ensure it is a specific target candidate we are after. Our goal is to build relationships with students and we find a better fit supporting clubs and organizations or specific-industry events."
