The Pillars of an Award-Winning Program
Adobe was selected as a 2024 Campus Forward Award Winner for their unwavering commitment to seeking out and hiring early career talent and investments in nurturing and retaining the next generation of diverse talent. Please see below for the highlights of their approach to early career recruitment.
Multi-Faceted and Thoughtful Approach to University Recruitment
Adobe’s University Talent team is committed to attracting and engaging with top talent through campus programs, as well as catered experiences online and at Adobe offices globally. Examples include Digital Academy, an immersive apprenticeship program that educates and provides hands-on experience into user experience design, data science, or software engineering. There is also Adobe Career Academy, in which Adobe works exclusively with students from public community colleges around the Bay Area.
Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
Adobe is committed to building an inclusive workforce that reflects the diversity of the world around us. As part of the company’s ongoing efforts to empower the next generation workforce from diverse backgrounds with digital literacy and creative skills, Adobe established strategic partnerships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic-serving Institutions (HSIs). Each partnering university received a US$1 million donation along with career preparation, and tools and apps for professors to use in the classroom from Adobe to prepare students for jobs in the technology and creative industries. Additionally, Adobe has partnered with HBCU 20x20 to offer a paid, 8-week professional development fellowship program that will prepare and empower 40 Black college students for careers at Adobe. And the newly launched Student Athlete Micro Internship (SAMI) has been developed by Adobe’s Diversity Talent Acquisition team to support student athletes from HBCUs and HSIs and help them gain career skills by working on impactful projects at Adobe. In addition to recruitment, Adobe is proud to offer interns and new grads from underrepresented backgrounds specialized support when they join the company in the form of mentorship, employee resource groups, and development programs.
Impactful Internship Program
Adobe believes good ideas can come from everywhere in the company. When interns and university graduates join Adobe, they experience a company where creativity is unrestricted. They work side by side with the tech industry’s biggest thinkers and innovators to change the world through digital experiences and become part of a community that values their perspectives and ideas. Adobe interns put their smarts and creativity to work on business-critical projects, while being mentored by top talent. Interns get all the credit when they dream up Adobe’s next big thing. In fact, many Adobe interns become patent inventors during their time at Adobe.
