Standout Candidate Experience

ADM offers early career opportunities for passionate students intent on solving the nutritional and sustainability challenges of today and tomorrow. Their campus recruiting team embodies that passion and emphasizes building strong relationships with students from the very beginning. Building trust with transparency is what the students have found most refreshing about their candidate experience with ADM. The team has a structured and welcoming communication plan that starts with the interview process, through offer acceptance, then onboarding ending with day one with the company. To encourage ongoing learning for those with outstanding offers, the team hosts evening conference calls for students and their families, offering discussions with senior leaders including a casual Q&A session. In this competitive market for early career talent, ADM knows that if they invest in this generation of talent, the students will invest in them.

Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

ADM believes that a diverse team is an empowered team and they build those teams starting with early career talent. ADM leadership is committed to fostering a productive, diverse and inclusive workplace and has made investments in their campus recruiting strategy to include improved HBCU relationships, partnering with student and professional organizations, and increased use of technology to improve their outreach and inclusive message to diverse students. They actively participate in SWE, WITI, Women in Agriculture and MANRRS events and are currently mentoring students from FOSSI and ELC programs. ADM also works closely with Thurgood Marshall College Fund. Intern and fulltime students are interviewed by diverse panels, paired with a buddy/mentor and always encouraged to participate in any of their many Employee Resource Groups and initiatives.

Impactful Internship Program

ADM’s intern program is designed to provide a structured, immersive and enriching experience for students. During the twelve week program, students participate in a combination of continuous learning opportunities including hands on ownership of relevant projects, mentoring sessions, lunches with executive leadership, tailored individual development plans and ongoing opportunities to network with other interns nationwide. All of these opportunities enable students to gain practical knowledge, enhance their skills and business acumen, and contribute to real-world projects within the organization. ADM’s program provides furnished housing for the summer, an on-site three day orientation with a farm-to-fork barn dinner to kick off the program, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays and local social events. ADM interns leave the program with deeper skills, professional connections and a sense of pride that they have contributed to ADM’s purpose of Feeding The World.
