Adelvia Gomez is a Regional Recruitment Director at City Year. In their role at City Year, Adelvia leads, manages, and supports recruitment strategies and stakeholder relationships amongst a team of seven individuals who are across seven southeastern states. Most of her career life consists of working with youth from under-resourced communities, recruiting for research and education-focused organizations as well as human resources in various capacities. Adelvia’s life mission is to educate people on how to make a difference and by providing empowering and inspiring hiring and on-boarding practices as well as environment; she gets to accomplish her mission daily.

"In the past year, my team has been incredibly resilient. As a department, we have gone through challenges, all through which my team has persevered victoriously and with grace. They have maintained and surpassed their baselines, have increased their numbers of stakeholders, have maintained the momentum both in-person and virtually by hosting over 75 events, and engaging with over 7,000 prospects this year alone. I am extremely proud of my team for all their efforts and perseverance. The South region, our region, would not be as far ahead in recruitment as we are today if it weren’t for them."
