Notably, the deep commitment to expanding engagement with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) is evident in Abbott's approach to creating connections on campus. Leveraging the power of their employee alumni network, they actively involve leaders in recruiting efforts, ensuring meaningful interactions both on and off campus, and fostering a dynamic bridge between students and the exciting opportunities at Abbott. The core strategy for Abbott's internship program is to provide opportunities post-program for students to continue their career at Abbott.

Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
Abbott's commitment to Diversity & Inclusion is exemplified through multifaceted initiatives. Enhanced engagement with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) saw the successful launch of an Abbott Medical Device course at Prairie View A&M, earning us a Top 10 ranking among HBCU Engineering School supporters and a Top 5 ranking among HBCU Engineering Schools. The completion of a Cybersecurity Innovation Collaboration project further solidified our partnership with HBCUs. Additionally, Abbott provides support to all interns on the program through 12 different employee resource groups giving interns access to a wealth of experience and knowledge through formal and informal networking.
