Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

84.51°'s early career team has implemented several initiatives to recruit and retain underrepresented talent at the entry-level. Strategic partnerships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) have helped increase diverse talent pools. To strengthen these partnerships 84.51° has dedicated a group of current associates to support recruitment efforts and ensure a consistent presence in these communities. Additionally, the team at 84.51° has third-party partnerships with RippleMatch, DiversityJobs Inc, LinkedIn, and HBCU Connect to broaden the talent search, reaching beyond traditional channels. Finally, 84.51° has an active participation in Kroger’s Autism@Work internship pilot program further demonstrating 84.51°'s commitment to inclusivity. At 84.51° Interns are working on real-life meaningful projects that have a direct impact on the Kroger company, Kroger customers, or Consumer Packaged Goods clients. The internship program at 84.51° is challenging yet rewarding. In fact, many 84.51° interns say that they learned more in a ten-week internship experience than their collegiate coursework. Additionally, interns are immersed in the company culture at 84.51°. They participate in a variety of social and networking events. Events range from local baseball games to intimate networking opportunities with C-Suite leaders, all company meetings & events, and more unforgettable experiences.
