This year, LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group not only adapted their summer internship to be virtual but also made huge innovations to create a positive virtual candidate experience. The team hosted several successful panels to allow candidates to hear from industry experts and past interns, ensuring candidates fully understood what life at LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group would be like.

Summer Internship Program
This summer, LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group was able to quickly adapt their in-person summer internship to a successful virtual internship program across the US. This required a strategic approach to the program development itself, as well as planning and coaching managers and mentors. For interns, LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group knew it was essential that they had a good awareness of what the summer would hold from a virtual perspective, as none of them accepted offers thinking they’d be working virtually. With the help of managers and mentors, this was done through 121 virtual sessions and by sharing principles about remote working with students to ensure success across the board.
LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group adapted by attending virtual careers fairs and creating other opportunities to virtually speak with and connect with students on LinkedIn. The team found that the standard virtual ten minute career fair session was not enough to build relationships with students. To counter this, LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group offered more in-depth sessions with interested students.
TheLexisNexis Risk Solutions Group team created monthly external events with a number of panelists who are industry experts in the recruitment field to share their perspectives and experiences with students. In addition, the team also created an Intern Series where prior interns discussed their experiences at LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group, allowing prospective candidates to get an inside look at company life.
Diversity and Inclusion
LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group has a comprehensive D&I strategy and they are constantly striving to improve upon it. As a company, they make it a priority to continually showcase the diversity of their existing teams. In addition, they offer over 30 employee resource groups (ERG’s) and are continually launching new groups to create allyship and foster inclusion.
