Summer Internship Program

Dell Technologies proudly hosted its 2020 interns virtually. The program consisted of three weeks of product training, customer calls and outreach, group project work, and exposure to advanced sales roles in the company. Feedback from Dell’s 2020 interns was great – specifically, they highlighted how their experience was strong regardless of not being able to be physically in the office.

Virtual Recruitment

Dell adapted its recruitment strategy by working with schools to engage in virtual career fairs, virtual sales competitions, and other virtual events on campus. Dell also hosted its own webinars aimed at both full-time and intern candidates.

Candidate Experience

To create a positive candidate experience, Dell scheduled interview prep and culture overviews via pre-calls with current Dell employees. Dell also offered numerous webinars, with opportunities for Q+A, to provide additional information on the internship program. Finally, to give candidates as much exposure to the teams and culture as possible, Dell made sure to have interview days held over video. All of these touchpoints and opportunities for personalization helped Dell to craft a positive candidate experience during these unprecedented times.

Diversity and Inclusion

Dell is dedicated to spearheading a culture of diversity and inclusion by setting concrete “Moonshot Goals”. These goals include having 50% of the workforce and 40% of leaders be female by 2030, and 25% of the workforce and 15% of leaders be Black or LatinX by 2030. To help Dell reach these milestones, Dell’s early talent team expanded their efforts to engage more diverse students. They leveraged tools like RippleMatch and developed relationships with HBCUs and underrepresented student groups of their other partner schools. The team also hosted webinars that targeted student-athletes, participated in ‘women in sales’ events, and produces a monthly D&I newsletter internally that is solely focused on their recruiting efforts around D&I for entry-level opportunities.

Congratulations to Dell Technologies for their accomplishments this past year. RippleMatch is proud to recognize Dell Technologies in our 2021 Campus Forward Awards for their commitment toward the next generation of talent.
